Hello and welcome to Purple Badger!

Over many happy years exploring France and Cornwall in our camper van Bella we were quietly making plans for our own special place. We dreamed of a small site, peaceful and rural . Somewhere we could weave together all the best experiences we have had as campers over the years .
And now here we are! Just six years ago we discovered Spring Grange Fisheries, a beautiful Leicestershire haven which has attracted local anglers for years. The site perfectly complemented our campsite plans with two beautiful lakes amongst its own woodland, wildlife, a touch of remoteness and importantly for us a field perfectly sized to create a camping field. Even better, we are close enough to Leicester for those who don't want to travel too far from the bright lights and culture a city brings.
So why Purple Badger?

Born in the back of Bella, our camper van, the Purple Badger was the imaginary creature our eldest son Val, invented and used to tease his younger brothers with.
The Purple Badger is very much part of our family and was the obvious choice for us when we wanted to name our new venture.

We are a family of six, and while our older kids, Millie and Val, have flown the nest, Jude and Logan are still with us, lending a hand on the site during weekends. Logan is just wrapping up primary and gearing up to join Jude in high school this September.
With our backgrounds in retail and customer service, we love running the business and are dedicated to creating an experience you'll want to come back for!
